Job Description: Retail Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join
our team as Retail Manager at The Mill of Bel Air. The Retail Manager will lead
our retail team in assisting customers with their purchases of feed, seed, and
supplies for their farms, horses, livestock, pets, wildlife, lawns, and
gardens. This position is responsible for meeting company goals, developing
staff members, and promoting sales and events. Strong leadership skills,
exceptional customer service, and the ability to multitask are essential for
this role.

Specific Duties:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, both in-store and over
    the phone, by offering additional services and products to enhance the
    customer's experience and increase sales.
  • Balance customer satisfaction with company goals,
    effectively solving problems and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Develop long-term and short-term goals for the store,
    inventory management, and team members.
  • Delegate work duties to team members, oversee daily store
    activities, including scheduling retail shifts, and communicate company
    information and directives to all staff members.
  • Coordinate receiving, stocking, and merchandising of store
    inventory.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, conduct
    regular audits, and implement strategies to minimize shrinkage and maximize
    inventory turnover.
  • Complete staff documentation, including yearly reviews,
    disciplinary notices, and goal planning.
  • Open and close the store, including reconciling registers,
    completing accurate deposits, maintaining the change drawer, and other duties.
  • Maintain a positive attitude while focusing on customer
    satisfaction in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, handling customer
    concerns and addressing situations with staff and customers professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and
    regulations, including safety and security protocols.
  • Manage sales goals and budgets, analyze sales data, and
    implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff to ensure a high level of
    customer service and product knowledge
  • Help to maintain a clean and safe store environment for both
    customers and employees.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop and implement
    marketing strategies to drive sales and promote the store.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift 50 plus pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Exemplary communication skills.
  • Provide direct supervision of staff and be a team leader.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Ability to identify issues and develop solutions quickly and
    effectively.
  • Capacity to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the
    ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, and management.
