Job Description: Retail Associate
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team of
Retail Associates at The Mill. As a Retail Associate, you
will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their purchases of feed,
seed, and supplies for their farms, horses, livestock, pets, wildlife, lawns,
and gardens. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service
skills, product knowledge, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Specific Duties:
- Assist customers both in-store and over the phone, providing exceptional customer service and offering additional services and products to enhance the customer's experience and increase sales.
- Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Follow standard operating procedures established by management and adhere to company policies.
- Stock and maintain products in the store, including merchandising and reorganizing as directed or needed.
- Process customer transactions on the point-of-sale system, including handling money and providing change.
- Assist with inventory maintenance, including receiving shipments, restocking shelves, and cleaning inside and outside the store.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn more about the products and services offered company wide.
- Help maintain a clean and safe store environment for both customers and employees.
- Professionalism: Associates should represent the company positively at all times.
- Community Engagement: Associates may be required to participate in community activities or events as representatives of the company.
- Safety: Associates should adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Problem Solving: Associates should be able to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively, resolving issues to the customer's satisfaction.
- Social Media Staff Feature and Collaboration: Retail staff may be featured in social media posts or other marketing content to showcase their expertise and highlight their role within the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
