Job Summary: As a Marketing Specialist at The Mill, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and growth. You’ll work closely with our sales and product teams to promote our wide range of offerings, from livestock feeds to home and garden supplies, through various marketing channels. Your expertise will help us connect with our customers, support community events, and continue our mission of empowering local farm and home communities.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Development & Execution: Plan, develop, and implement effective marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels (email, social media, print, events).
Content Creation: Create and manage engaging content for various platforms, including website updates, blog posts, social media, and newsletters.
SEO & SEM: Optimize content for search engines to increase website traffic and improve search rankings.
Social Media Management: Manage and grow our social media presence, engaging with our audience and promoting products and services.
Event Marketing: Support community and customer events, both in-person and virtual, to drive brand awareness and customer engagement.
Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Customer Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product, and customer service teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in retail, agriculture, or a similar industry.
Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including social media, email marketing, and SEO/SEM.
Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills.
Proficient in marketing software and tools such as Google Analytics, social media management platforms, and email marketing platforms.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
